JANE MARIE UTTERBACK
Jane Marie Utterback, age 93, of Silver Spring, MD died Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Born September 27, 1930 in Richmond, VA to the late Ora F. Pugh and Winchester M. Smith. Beloved mother of Lawrence C. Utterback, Jr. (wife, Fe), Patrick Dale Utterback, and Mary Ellen Mooney; devoted grandmother of Alex, Teresa, and the late Elizabeth Mooney, and Lee Utterback-Pair (husband, Ben) and Dr. Rachel Utterback Peters (husband, Ross). Her marriage to the late Lawrence C. Utterback ended in divorce. She was predeceased by her brothers Mack, Everett, and Rowland Smith, and sister, Shirley Giglio. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including her special cousin, Pat Kinder.
Memorial service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 3820 Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20906 on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, Texas, 75380 (www.komen.org) or Children's National Hospital Foundation, Gift Administration, 1 Inventa Place, 6th FL West, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910 (www.childrensnational.org)
