JEFFREY NICHOLAS HASKINS July 6, 1980 - July 14, 2012
On July 14, 2012, JEFFREY N. HASKINS, world traveler and loving husband, son, brother, grandson and friend passed on in Mombasa, Kenya where he spent his last days writing, reflecting and communicating with those close to him. Preceded in death his mother, Susan Haskins and aunt, Vicki Payne. He is sorrowed by his wife, Meredith Braden; father, Dr. Jeffery N. Haskins; brother, Christopher Haskins; sisters, Julia Haskins and Patricia Swayne; grandmothers, Gladys Haskins Peevy and Mildred Lyons Veney; great-aunt, Edna Rodgers; special cousins, Shirley, Kai, Cabral and Kali Franklin and Meredith's family, Donald, Sharon and Parish Braden. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1514 - 15th St. N.W., Washington, DC 20005 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haskins-Braden Education Trust, c/o Braden & Thompson, LLP, 102 E. Main St., Suite 202, Stevensville, MD 21666.

I had the pleasure of playing music with Jeff. He was a fun person to be around. Just a funny dude:) I always thought I'd see him again and I'm sorry that it's not gonna happen in this life. I'm gonna miss Jeff and the party he always brought with him.

Jeff and Suzanne, Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. My thoughts and prayers are with you especially at this difficult time. I can't even fathom the pain of losing a son/grandson so young. Keep trusting God and lean on His everlasting arm.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your son. Having a son this age, I cannot envision your pain. I pray that you will go to the Lord who will touch your heart and ease your pain, in time.
