Jensen was one of my closest friends. Sharing the same office space we spent many hours together each week discussing cases, politics and life in general. His positive attitude about everything really made him unique and his death creates a large void in my life.

One of Jensen's favorite quotes was "When your going thru hell keep going." If he could that's what he would say to us now.

I met Jensen 8 years ago. Jensen was unique in many ways, witty, charming and a real gentleman. He had a big caring and loving heart. I had the opportunity to work for him for 7 years as his administrative secretary. He was a wonderful boss and a very good friend. I remember him almost every day arriving to the office singing… sometimes changing the lyrics to accommodate his own words. We laughed many times… He was a happy guy. He is not longer here but I’ll always remember him. He is resting now.

I got to know Jensen by him coming into the salon with Lillian. I have done her hair for quite a while over the years and had the pleasure of cutting Jensens hair also. I always enjoyed the banter between the two of them. He was very devoted to Lillian and she to him. I enjoyed his stories and humor and always thought that there was a lot to know about this man. I am very sad to realize I will not be seeing his cheery face in the salon anymore, but I am so very grateful that I had the chance to know him! Rest in Peace Jensen. You definitely made a difference!!

Jensen was a very special guy whose devotion to Lilliann Litton was magnificent. His personality, wit, charm and deep intelligence were obvious to all. His heart was as strong as God can create in any human being.
We shall miss him.

I knew Jensen as a defense attorney in Washington when I was a prosecutor. My greatest experiences with him came from the times we were both at Emory Law School's trial training program. Jensen was an excellent practioner, but he was a great person to be out of town with. I'm sure the other faculty members enjoyed his companionship at our dinners or in the Inn's lounge as much as I did. I, too, appreciated his "great sense of personal style" as noted by another. My sympathies to those who loved him.

Knowing that he is now gone, puts a damper on my life personally. I have known him for over 18 years and in that time, his wicked intellect and great sense of personal style will be remembered. I am so glad that two of the people that I treasure were able to find each other in this mad world.

The Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary describes a friend as “one attached to another by affection or esteem.”

Jensen Barber was not only a professional friend, but also a personal friend. I not only held him in high esteem, but I felt enriched by his presence and kindness. He was a person who gave assistance and support unconditionally. His sense of humor and love of life was infectious, and those qualities spilled over on to the people he touched.

What made Jensen unique and a true friend for me? The fact that Jensen thought I was a good egg even though he knew I was slightly cracked. That is what separates the acquaintances from friends, the acceptance. Jensen added quality to my life and to the lives of many other people.

Jensen will be missed.

I have many cherished memories of Jensen that were all special times to me. But what will remain in my heart and mind about him will be his big heart, his great sense of humor, his caring and loving nature and his heartfelt generosity. You will be missed, Jensen, always loved, and never forgotten.
