JESSE CLINTON GRIER
On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Washington Hospital Center. Beloved uncle of Angela and Danielle McPhail. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1029 Monroe St. N.E., Washington, DC 20017 from 9 a.m. until time of Christian Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by B.K. Henry Funeral Home.

Just found out this morning that Jesse had passed. I've been trying to make contact with him for the past two months or more; knew that something had happened because we always spoke on the phone. Have known him over fifty years; always a pleasant person and always gave good advice. May he forever rest in peace. God bless the entire family.

I just found out today, August 20th, that you are gone. I have been feeling a void ever since Barbara Jackson told me. You are walking, laughing and talking through my memories as I write this. I often wondered where you were, now I know you're in a better place, my friend. I miss you.

I am HIGHLY UPSET that uncle Jesse has pasted on and that me and my wife (his Niece Charise) are finding out now August 18. I Love Uncle Jesse with all my heart. I was always looking forward to visiting him whenever we had a chance. Uncle jesse was a walking piece of history. He had so much knowledge and was always easy to talk to. His voice will always stay in my head. You will always have a place in my heart. God has an awesome Angel!! LOVE YOU ALWAYS. SLEEP IN PEACE.

I cut Jessie's hair for almost thirty years and he allowed me to dump all of my troubles on him. He had solutions to all of my issues. Always a kind word and good advice.

I worked with Jesse for many years at The Library of Congress. He was a wonderful person and got along with everyone. I would see him on occasion after he retired coming to the credit
union. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Jesse.
