JOHN CAMPBELL Obituary


JOHN H. CAMPBELL  
John H. Campbell, 89, of Alexandria, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital. Born in Washington, DC, Mr. Campbell was a WWII Army veteran and Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. He worked for the federal government for more than 40 years and was also a former employee of EG&G, Inc. Survivors include wife Barbara Campbell; sons John Campbell of Tampa, FL, and Christopher Campbell of Fredericksburg; daughter Margaret Hill of Wayland, MA; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son James Campbell. A service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Pl., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Online guest book at covenantfuneralservice.com
