We have always stayed in touch by phone or email and will especially miss his jokes. My sympathies are with Katherine and the family. Saddened to hear of John's passing and my sincere condolences to your family. John's father and my father started the Sweet Shop in Winnetka, Illinois in 1926...the roots of which still exist today in our Homer's Ice Cream.
I have many fond memories of our childhood with John. He was a wonderful man. May God take care of his soul now as John took care of so many others during his life.
