We are very saddened to hear this news. I worked w/Dr. D for many years at Hines and Nicole and I always felt part of the family. We have always stayed in touch by phone or email and will especially miss his jokes. My sympathies are with Katherine and the family. May God Bless each of you and know you have all the many years of wonderful memories. Carol and Nicole

Saddened to hear of John's passing and my sincere condolences to your family. John's father and my father started the Sweet Shop in Winnetka, Illinois in 1926...the roots of which still exist today in our Homer's Ice Cream.
I have many fond memories of our childhood with John. He was a wonderful man. May God take care of his soul now as John took care of so many others during his life.

I am very sad to hear of John's passing. He was instrumental in my career in health services research in VA. He had faith in my abilities even when I wasn't so sure. He loved what he did and he loved his family very much. sending my deepest sympathies.
