John M. DiBari

John M. DiBari, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Lewes, Delaware on the morning of Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born on May 14, 1941, in Washington, DC. In 1959, John graduated from Alexander Graham Bell High School and subsequently enlisted in the US Navy where he served for four years. He met Marjorie V. Griffin at their place of employment, the National Association of Letter Carriers, and married on June 1, 1968, in Washington, DC. Along with his mother Sue and brother August, John proudly operated their family restaurant, AV Ristorante Italiano, located in Washington, DC, until closing in 2007 and retiring to the beach in Lewes. John is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Marjorie; their daughter, Lisa DiBari Kans, and son-in-law, Robert E. Kans; and much beloved granddaughter, Gillian Rose Kans. He was also survived by his sisters Linda Parker and Maria Vasaio and brothers August Vasaio and Edward Vasaio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael DiBari and Sue Vasaio. There will be a viewing held on Friday, July 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home Calvert located at 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736. A funeral service will be held in his honor from family and friends at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, Owings, MD followed by burial services at Resurrection Cemetery at 8000 Woodyard Road Clinton, MD 20735.

I am John's 1st Cousin My Mother Anna Varriale was John's Aunt Just Now finding out John Passed He was always one of my Favorite Relatives My Favorite Memory of John He gave me My first Elvis Record called Treat Me Nice around 1956 I still have it today I was an Elvis ETA did elvis for over 25 years And Always sang that Song every Show Now John I am sure he is in Heaven With many of our Family Will be always missed but his Memory will go on Forever
