John Fleury Obituary
John Joseph Fleury (Age 63)
On Monday, January 1, 2024, John Joseph Fleury of Bethesda, MD, passed away peacefully after a year-long heroic battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Albert Fenwick and Alice Flynn Fleury, and his brother, Albert Jr. (Mimi). John is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Keegan Fleury; children, Mary Beth Fleury Norwood (Alex), Jessica Flynn Fleury, John Keegan Fleury, and Natalie Ann Fleury; grandson, Braden Fleury Norwood; and five siblings; Thomas Fleury (Peggy), Paul Fleury (Mary Louise), Alice Marie Fitzgerald (Eddie), Mary Ellen Hartley (Mark), and Margie Freeze (Tom). A pillar of strength and love, his impact on family and friends will forever be in our hearts.
Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave, Bethesda, MD, on Saturday, January 6, from 12 to 3 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Aloysius Church, 22800 Washington St, Leonardtown, MD, on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later date. A celebration of his life will follow the Mass at 21711 Paw Paw Point Way, Leonardtown, MD. May he rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Abaco Strong (https://abacostrong.org/donate/), an organization close to John's heart.
