JOHN H. MOOSE  
John H. Moose died on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Easton Memorial Hospital. He was 89.Born on December 4, 1924 in Washington, DC to the late Ernest R. Moose and Harriet (Hoffman) Moose. He grew up in DC and graduated from Eastern High School and immediately enlisted in the Army Air Force and became a P47 fighter pilot. Upon honorable discharge he attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a degree in transportation. John then began a 35 year career with NSA until he retired from government service in June of 1985. John and his family resided in the New Carrollton area of Prince George's County until he retired to the "land of pleasant living' on the banks of the Chester River in Grasonville, MD.Mr. Moose enjoyed gardening, planting and working around the house and water.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille M. Moose; sons John G. Moose of Towson, MD; Donald J. Moose of Stevensville, MD; William D. Moose of Grasonville, MD; daughter Susan E. Martone of Stevensville, MD; brother Charles E. Moose of Silver Spring, MD; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Ann Mykut in October of 2013.A graveside service will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.Online condolences may be made at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
