JOHN ROSSER Obituary


Dr. JOHN R. ROSSER, JR. (Age 84)  
Passed suddenly on May 12, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. He leaves to mourn his wife, Rozie Almon Lewis Rosser. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Florence Elaine Towles Rosser, and a son Dennis Kevin Rosser. Survivors include four children, John Rosser III (Cassandra), David Anthony Rosser (Lisa), Karl Rene Rosser and Anita Rosser McNair (Nathaniel); two brothers, Dr. Samuel Rosser and Richard Rosser (Sammie); two sisters, Suejette Rosser Riley and Dr. Audrey Rosser Turner (Zeke); three step children, Martin Lewis (LaJoyce), Roziland Lewis Wynn (Linus), and Belinda Morris (Lutharman); eight grandchildren, John R. Rosser IV (LaToya), Sean Alfrez Rosser, David Anthony Rosser, Jr., Alicia Rose Rosser, Christopher Anthony Rosser, Devon Alexander Rosser, Briana Carr Rosser, and Dylan Austin Rosser; and one great-grandchild, John Robert Rosser, V; an aunt, Bessie Lynch Simmons; a sister-in-law, Diane Towles; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives ,the Frisbys and friends. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, June 13, Visitation at 10:30 a.m., Services from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Ministry Center of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Rd., Glenarden, MD 20785. Arrangements by Murray Brothers, Atlanta, GA.
