In 1965, he joined the professional staff of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) in Washington, D.C. I will miss this dedicated Great Man who was a "help in time of trouble" for me and many others. His kindness and reassuring professionalism eased the devastating pain I went through when I got fired. It was so clear from our brief conversations how deeply he loved his family and how proud he was of all his children. I can't imagine how much you all will miss him. He left behind a personal and professional legacy that will never be forgotten. What a horribly sad loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
