George was probably the most innovative person I ever knew. He could fix anything and had a well-deserved reputation for never throwing anything out (I always loved his little "lathe of many colors"). Always challenged to come up with a better mousetrap, he would sit in the front row of every CAW meetings and, sometimes to the chagrin of the demonstrator, come up with with suggestions on how to improve the tool or technique being demonstrated. Were his suggestions always better? Not necessarily but always delivered with a smile. George's smile ... pure joy with a touch of "gotcha".
Patty ... I know this is a terribly difficult time for you and your family but as I'm sure you know, George touched a lot of lives in a lot of different ways. He will always be remembered.

Jorge was a great mentor, always willing to take time to show you some tip in woodturning which he had learned. So creative in art design for woodcrafts as well as the tools needed to complete fine works.
A master jack of all trades, we will miss you forever.

Koky was a man of many passions from little league as a child to surfing, sailing, and fencing as a young man in Peru to all things mechanical as a professional auto technician. He was a man of many talents and excelled at all things he tried. A true Jack of all trades. But his greatest passion was his love for his children Sebastian and Jess. When unable to return to work due to medical issues, Koky became a stay at home dad. Nothing made him happier than cooking meals for his kids, teaching Jessi to fish and shoot a bow and arrow and sharing his love of hunting with Sebastian. Those close to him new him as a great friend, mentor. skilled mechanic, hard worker, generous person and excellent father and family man.

Many centuries ago a great master, the son of a humble carpenter, taught us that great men are not necessarily those who are stronger physically or that achieved great things evident to us all, or the ones who performed heroics feats, won wars, led empires, countries or armies, started crusades or amazing movements, prolific writers, laureate geniuses great men (including women) are others.
They are the ones who daily build their own humanity and quietly manage to be better, despite doubts and temptations, internal and external pressures, tribulations, adversity, the incessant questioning of others, despite the apparently invincible demons within that without truce sow uncertainty in our being.
The true fight is and will always be against one self. The ultimate goal is not to win, this is not a war of such kind. The aim is to fight, is to always be aware that despite the many defeats or victories we may encounter along the way . and they will come by the thousands, we ought to continue the battle on a daily basis. As a result we will be better, individually and collectively.
Koky indeed fought with great heart the many shadows that crossed his path and time and time again defeated with a soft smile and clear eyes the relentless siege he was under. With undeniable virtues .courage, humility, commitment, kindness, honesty and above all a strong sense of duty and family he set the pace ahead with love and light.
The Lord has called him to now shed his light from above to those who still have to walk terrestrial paths, so he can instill in them the seed of hope.
May the world rejoice, as we have a new celestial body upon us.

Our lives are filled with the folks we encounter. Some folk fill up a larger space in our lives than others. The space that Jorge has in my life is large indeed. The remaining space allocated to Jorge will now be filled with reliving my time with him and the sorrow of knowing I can't share his brilliance. The tepe that Jorge made still makes me shake my head in wonder.
