JOSE PALAU Obituary
JOSE G. PALAU "Joe"
Of Woodbridge, VA, died peacefully at home early Sunday morning, September 21, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ingrid and his two daughters Michelle Davis (Eddie) and Claudia Brown (Tony). He was preceded in death by his son Tony and his daughter-in-law Kathy. He leaves behind four grandsons - Jason, Joshua, Jeremy, and Jayson and three granddaughters - Sara, Amy, and Jessica; four great-granddaughters (Jade, Blake, Sheridan, and Jocelyn) and three great-grandsons (Heath, Riley, and soon-to-be Reed). He is also survived by two brothers, Nico and Jorge and one sister, Beba all of Mexico and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Joe patriotically served his country for 50 years; 30 years on active duty as a Command Sergeant Major in the US Army and 20 years as a civilian employee of the Federal government. Visitation, funeral mass and burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Fisher House Foundation in memory of Jose G. Palau.

I have missed Joe every day since working with him. He was definitely ONE OF A KIND. If you were one of "his", you knew you were taken care of. He was a man with a huge heart who was deeply respected by everyone. I loved him dearly!

To the Palau Family:
You have my deepest sympathy and please remember that God never put more on you then you can bear. Joe is in a better place in heaven with God and he looks after his own. God will wipe away all your tears and remember keep the faith and you will see Joe again. I also worked at IRS, Joe was a very thoughtful and helpful person and he will definitely be missed.
