Joe and I met at the Naval Research Lab, and were both members of the Thomas Edison Toastmaster's Club, known for its humorous speeches, and Joe was one of the best. We stayed friends after I left NRL, and often had lunch together with a couple of other old Toastmasters. I miss him.
