Joseph Blunt Obituary
After 10 years with The Drifters, Joe continued in the music industry alongside lifelong friends from his previous singing groups. He received many awards and accolades during his career, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from Sony Music in 2009.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Paula Blunt; three sons - Joshua Ross, Brian Blunt, and Darren Blunt; nine grandchildren, his sister Linette Adams, brother Alvin Blunt, and a host of other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Alfred Street Baptist Church, 301 S Alfred St., Alexandria, VA at 10 a.m. until time of his Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Pope Funeral Home.

I am indeed sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe and I lived on Otis St and walked to Jr.High school together. I saw him perform twice with Joe Coleman after he left the Drifters. May the peace and comfort of God be upon his family. Rest in peace my brother, I will see you in the "Morning!"
