Joseph Anthony Bruno

Joseph Anthony Bruno passed away peacefully November 13, 2022. Born in Washington, DC on March 13, 1935 to Gaetano and Josephine Bruno. Attended St. Anthony's Catholic School, St. Johns College High School, Catholic University and Georgetown University. Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Worked for President Lyndon Johnson in the Senate and White House, the American Bicentennial Administration and Shawmut Bank of Boston. He retired as Sr. Vice President of Federal Relations for Associated Industries of Massachusetts. He traveled extensively with his beloved wife Rhea in Europe. They enjoyed opera, skiing in New England, and spending time in their second home in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Survived by his wife Rhea of 56 years, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Pre-deceased by his loving sister RoseMary Mazzaglia and brother Lawrence Bruno. Services to be held at Church of the Little Flower, Bethesda, MD, Monday, November 28, 2022 at 12 noon. Internment at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date.

I just found out. I am devastated. I have known Joe since 1973 when we both worked at ARBA. He was always a good friend and stand-up guy. Over the years we spoke a few times a year. I will miss this guy who was one of the best.
