Joseph Ellis Sturdivant Jr.
January 22, 2008
I have been serving in the U.S. Army for the last 3 years now and i wear the name "Sturdivant" everyday I get up and put on my uniform. I can say that I'm following in my dad's footsteps but at the same time i have to follow my dreams. I thank God for everything I have and everything I don't have. It is always sad to see a family member pass away and it is even harder for the parents and kids. Me and my sister loved my dad and im thankful we both had the chance to see him and the rest of my family over the holidays. With his sickness my dad does not have to be in pain any more and i know he is in heaven watching over us. I would like to also thank my mother for being there for me and my older sister. As well as keeping us together throughout our childhood. I will carry on this last name and pass it down to my son "Joseph E. Sturdivant III. "God Bless Our Troops"

Thank you for the time that you shared with us and the two beautiful kids that we had together. You will be missed. Lani
