KAREN JAMES (née BURNS) (Age 71)
Passed away unexpectedly on January 5 2019. Mrs. James is survived by her husband Melvin James; sons, Allen and Bryan James and grandchildren, Sarah, Rose, Molly, Grace, Brandon, Kyle and Brantley. She was preceded in death by her parents Aloysius F. and Evelyn L. Burns; sister Kathy A. Burns and aunt Peggy Walker. Family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Shriners Hospital for Children or to The MDSPCA.www.leefuneralhomes.com

It is with great sadness to learn of Karen's passing. She was such a sweet lady who always made everyone around her better people. We worked together at Sheet Metal Workers Local 100 for many years. She never missed anyone's birthday. She never missed a holiday to decorate for. Her smile and her laughter could make anyones day better. This is a sad day for all who knew and cherished her. Rest in peace.
