I have been reminiscing how she brought us so close together and we close to Kalyn, missing her smiling and singing, crying at the same time because it is still so hard to understand, wishing I could just hold her grab her, fight with her and do her hair again and knowing that she is looking down at us smiling.

Kim and Kevin,

I send you both my deepest condolences for the loss of your beautiful, vibrant daughter, Kennedy. she was one of our dancers at New Chapel and we loved her very much. Its sad that when you move away or stop going somewhere you see people all the time you loose contact, but we thought of you all frequently. My daughter Tai (the little one who used to like to see dance) says that she know in time you will still have memories of your baby, but your heart won't be as heavy. I know what its like to loose a chile so all i can say is dont be afraid to grieve, but know that she is at heavens home and she has everything she needs there. If she gets lonely, theres alot of people she can talk to and play with. Be strong and hold on to God's unchanging hand to get you through this rough patch. I wish the best for you all and hope that your days will be easy.

Much Love

Dear Pearson Family,

My son (Jevon) and Kennedy were classmates at New Chapel Christian Academy. They enjoyed those Famous Friday skate nights hosted by their school. They even teased each other from time to time which got them sent to the Principal’s office. However, even as kids they knew how to apologize, make-up and remain friends. Although, Jevon transferred to another school he still has fond memories of the fun times shared with your daughter and was saddened by her lost. Also, Jevon and his sister left teddy bears symbolic of angels at the house to watch over Kennedy.

Please know that our family is praying for GOD’s Peace and Comfort during this difficult time as you grieve and heal because GOD can and will HEAL your heavy hearts in due season. Pray often, cry if necessary but always cherish the memories shared with your daughter which are yours to recall for a LIFETIME. Again, Peace & Blessings are being prayed from our family to yours.

My heart hangs heavy for the family of this beautiful little girl even though I am just a stranger. I know the pain of losing someone very dear to you and I just want you to know that even though it doesn't seem like it now and you want to give up, this beautiful little girl's memories will bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eye but this will help ease the pain and make each day worth living. I am so sorry for your loss and you will be in my prayers

A comforting message of hope to all who loved and cared about little Kennedy. It really saddens my heart to hear about your loss. She was truly a very special little girl. Our Heavenly Father knows that death causes us pain. He assures us that He will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and that one day soon death will be no more. May you find comfort in the hope held out to us in the scriptures. Please accept my sincere heartfelt condolences.

Carolyn Barnes

April 6, 2010

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.

God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...

that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,

then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,

knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Kennedy at a neighborhood yard sale last summer. She tried very hard to sell me a piece of artwork her family was selling. Such a beautiful child, very articulate and her spirit left a lasting impression on me. I know from personal experience that losing a child so young can be devastating but "Time" does heal all wounds. Remember her smile and the joy she brought to each of your lives while she was here. God bless your family. The Clinton community will be praying for you and with you.
