MORRIS KENNETH J. MORRIS (Jason) On Saturday, February 9, 2008, Kenneth Jason Morris of District Heights, MD beloved son of Kenneth A. Morris and Jocelyn Brent entered eternal rest. He is also survived by one paternal grandmother Elizabeth Patterson, a host of uncles, aunts, family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Church of God and Saints of Christ , 401 New York Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20001. Interment Harmony Memorial Park on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11 a.m.

Words cannot explain how I felt when I heard the news. But being at the funeral and seeing you one last time just let me know you are in a better place. Just know that the whole crew has nothing but love for you and you will be sorely missed. Until they find this book and log their own messages, this is for Chuck, Warren, Adriel, Zemirah, Mike, Lil Jon, myself and my family. Keep watching over us and we wont let your life being taken be in vain. God knew what he was doing and we all know you are better off where you are now, right next to GOD in heaven. After moving here 3 years ago, Jason and I became very close. We had an unspoken love for each other. Because he was good friends with my twin brother he took it upon himself to look out for me like I was his sister. No matter how annoyed he may have gotten with me he always came through for me. Jason I love you forever. He will never be forgotten by me or my son who adored him. I miss him so much. But God is still good!!! His passing has brought me closer to people in his inner circle which has made me feel even closer to Jason. Because of this I know he lives on and he still looks out for me.

Wow, I just talked to you when you cld for James on Wednesday...its jy like surreal that you are no longer here, a testament that life is not promised to us and that we should live everyday to its fullest and not take it for granted. What rings most clearly in my mind is you knew James and I were going to get married before we told anyone. Come to think of it, you are the reason James realized that he really liked me. Sheesh....no wedding now, I dont know who could take your place and be the best man.....just a quick trip to the JP. I cannot imagine the hurt of losing a child. I remember when we talked about your Jason and Nycal's Jason. How boys with that name needed close attention. You truly gave that to your Jason and I know he loved you for it.
They say the good die young and time heals all pains. This seems like rhetoric right now. But, I pray that God needed Jason and will smile on you by easing your pain for taking him from you. Your faith is strong, lean on it--it will make you stronger.

jason was my big cousin and i luved him very dearly. i can remember all them times when him and michael roberts would jack me up and sit me down every saturday and tell me about the world and how hard it is out here and to be safe. they would threaten my boyfriends and me...[[lol]]. that's one thing i luved about my cousin is that he looked out for me n he tuk the time to sit me down and to tell me what's right and what's wrong. he didn't have to do that but he did. the last time i saw him was 2 weeks ago n he once again jacked me up in the corner like he alwase does and we were playing at first...wen i attempted to walk away...he grabbed me and told me he luved me. i tuk it as a joke because it was soo long ago wen he told me that so i attempted 2 walk away...he quickly grabbed my arm and the luk he had n his eyes let me know he wasn't joking...so i said i luv u too cuzzo and he said.."u betta had" and i laughed n walked away afta he gave me mi last hug. i miss him sooo much..n i would neva forget that day. wen they tuk u away frum me jason..they tuk a part of me away also that i wuld neva eva get back again. save a place 4 me in heaven n when God calls me home..meet me by them pearly golden gates and welcome me to eternal life. but truth is...i wantchu back...i wantchu back soo much..but i know God never makes any mistakes...i just can't accept the truth of you being gone....i just can't. im still crying...neva stopped n im still hurting...dey scarred mi heart 4 lyfe. im now filled wit soo much frustration, hurt, pain, anger and sorrow....i force a smile on my face and laugh once n a while...but, nobody knows the truble i see...and nobody knows mi sorrow. so im doing this 4 u..im keeping mi head up and im doind what im supposed 2...n yes...mi dude is treatin me right..cuz i can hear u now..threatenin him and his life if he eva treats me wrong..[[lol]]..u, mi godbrova david and michael..was a big influence n my life..one of mi soldiers has now fallen..now i must rise up 2 be the best i can b...4 u...im doin it all 4 u...

What can I say about Kenney!?... :)
My first memory of Church is Jason. As we grew older we got too close in and outside of Church, he became one of the people in my everyday circle. Someone I could count on, someone I relied on, someone who I confided in, someone I call 'Brother & Friend' (and thats not many people).
He referred to me as his Lil' Sis (which meant sooo much to me). And although I never told him how much I appreciated and loved him I'm sure he knew. We had an unbreakable bond.
They say the "Good Die Young;" 'Jason' will always be missed and never forgotten.
