KERMIT TWEDT Obituary


 
KERMIT O. TWEDT "Ozzie"  LT. COL (Ret.),  
Age 81, of Springfield, VA, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 from complications of Multiple Myeloma. Born in Kindred, ND, he is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Phyllis Twedt; devoted father of Jim Twedt, Cindy Brent, Robin Green, son-in-law Mark Green; and loving grandfather of Cameron and Erika Brent, Brian and Danielle Green. Ozzie was a longtime member of Springfield Golf and Country Club, an avid golfer, and a spirited Washington Redskins fan. A memorial service will be held at Messiah United Methodist Church, 6215 Rolling Rd., Springfield, VA on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. The burial will be held at a future date with military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ozzie's name to the International Myeloma Foundation, www.myeloma.org.

Oz was one of the good guys - I was able to see him a few times on the golf course way after we left Honeywell and was great seeing him. Our prayers and best wishes to his family.

Met Ozzie in 1964 when he ran the ANMCC Computer Center at "The Rock". A nice guy very well liked by all I know he will be missed.
