Kevin Tighe Obituary
Kevin Tighe
Master Firefighter/EMT, and retired Metropolitan Police detective Kevin Tighe passed away on June 27, 2023 as a result of complications from a stroke suffered while on duty at the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. Kevin was predeceased by his father John Francis; mother Mary Louise; and brother Patrick Joseph. He is survived by his sisters Cecilia Hamilton (Joseph) and Marie Moore (Curt), numerous nieces and nephews; son John; daughter-in-law Amanda, and his beloved grandchildren, Connor, and Eliza. Relatives and friends may call at St. Mary's Church (Rockville), 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m.

We were I the police academy together, he was class president and I was the bus driver. Kevin was memorable, how else would he cross my mind so many years later.... The academy was in 1982! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Kevin was one of the good guys and I had the blessing of him being a thread in my tapestry of life.
