One of Lee's favorite questions was related to generativity - she loved to explore ways that scholars and colleagues could contribute to each others' work and how the legacy of evolving knowledge could be preserved. The American College Personnel Association is celebrating 100 years at its Chicago convention in Spring of 2024. One of the programs will be on generativity and how ACPA has advanced knowledge that has improved student learning and development over the decades. Lee's name will again be invoked in these conversations, demonstrating the power of her commitment to inquiry and care for students, colleagues, and our higher education institutions. We will miss Lee in 2024 but her spirit will be there. Lovingly, Denny Roberts, UMCP '79

Lee had a profound impact on me and so many others as she formed us as young professionals and beyond. I am thankful for the way she poured into me while in graduate school and the ways she impacted my thinking as a student affairs professional. I especially treasure the many conversations over a glass of wine. Rest in peace, Lee.

I am still shocked and saddened by the news of Lee's death. She was a genius meaning maker and transformative thinker whose work enriched the college student experience by the many who read her work, heard her speak, or learned from her former students. I treasure my memories with Lee starting with our work through ACPA on the Generatively project! Rest well, dear friend. Susan Komives

I am sending love and condolences to Evi and all who loved Lee. We were friends and colleagues for over 15 years, and I will always treasure the time we shared. Rest in peace, dear Lee.

Lee had a profound impact on so many which has been demonstrated in an outpouring of response on social media. Her spirit was in everything she did. Whether speaking, writing, or consulting, she was fully present as her students and colleagues sought to improve the quality of learning and development for all students across the landscape of higher education. Indeed, so many are mourning the loss of such a dear mentor and friend. Our lives are fundamentally different as a result of the flame she lit in each of us. That flame will not expire and I hope, in some small way, to continue the work for which Lee was the major catalyst. With love and admiration, Denny Roberts, advised and dissertation supervised by Lee, University of Maryland, 1979.
