A message from his first wife as Linda would call me: I have known Leonard from the age of 15 up to his passing and can pleasantly say we were friends all those years. Leonard was a mathematical genius. Before I retired from cancer research at Howard University Cancer Center I would call him from time to time to help me with a mathematical calculations on a path report. I could always count on him for a correct calculation. Over the years at some of our family gatherings: cookouts, our daughter-in-law's family reunion, our High School class reunions in Chattanooga Tn., our grandsons graduation and luncheons. Leonard and I would chat about Hometown friends, some which I had forgotten but not him, he had a memory like an elephant. We were a blended family and
it made Leonard happy that we could all get along as one big family. It was very easy for Leonard's first family to do because Linda had/has a loving spirit. "A blended family we are still" ....

My Deepest sympathy to you and the family. Mr Leonard, that's what I would call him. From the moment I met him became the day he became one of my favorite clients. We might not see each other for months at a time but he would greet me with that same spirit, never forgetting my name, even when her was at his sickest he would hear my voice and nod with acknowledgment knowing it was me. We would never leave out each others presence without me saying, keep me in your prayers and he'll say, will do and are last words would be loving you. Mr Leonard always made me feel as if I was part of his family. May God strengthen the family and bring peace to your heavy hearts in Jesus name. Hang in there and remember what Mr Leonard wanted most for you and that's Joy. His Presence will be deeply missed. Pam HUH Cardiology.
