LEONARD PAUL OLIVER

Leonard Paul Oliver, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, of complications from a recent stroke. Born in 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, Oliver was an educator, athlete, and coach but was most proud of the 5,000 coaches he taught, and their subsequent impact on youth in soccer. Oliver had lived in the Washington area for over 60 years and is survived by his wife, Eleanor, his daughters, Erika and Britt-Karin, his son-in-law Matthew and granddaughters Alison and Madelyn, his brothers Jim and Alan, Jim's wife Gloria and his nieces and nephews, Alison, Tim, Alana and Ian. Details for a celebration of life will be shared when ready. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be sent to Goals for Girls (https://goalsforgirls.org/donate) and DC Scores (https://give.dcscores.org/give/401225#!/donation/checkout).
