Leutrell Osborne Obituary
Leutrell Michael Carlton Osborne , Sr. (Age 84)
A former CIA Case Officer, as told in his autobiography, "Black Man in the CIA", passed away on November 18, 2023. Osborne, a native Washingtonian, graduating from Roosevelt High School ('57) and American University. BA ('71), is survived by his wife of 66 years Rose, their five children (DeLevay, Monique, Leutrell II, Natasha, and Carlton), eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and six siblings. His Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, December 15, 2023; family visitation at 9:30 a.m.; funeral mass 11 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church, 6001 13th Street NW, Washington, DC.

I´m so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Osborne. He was my mentor. I appreciate him for all of the time and care that he spent grooming me for federal employment. I also appreciate Ms. Rose for supporting me in my growth by offering her hospitality during my mentor sessions with Mr. Osborne. Rest in Power Mr. Osborne! Job well done!

So sorry to hear Leutrell passed. Really did enjoy him and his qualities. Missed him and was not able to visit for so very long. Praying for your family. Lost our mother earlier this summer - know how difficult it can be. Leutrell remains an inspiration and novel personality.

Leutrell was truly a "renaissance man," one of a kind, Leader of the pack, a great statesman. These and other words describe the kind, bodacious, intelligent gentleman I've known since the early 80s who floated in and out of my professional career until 2002 when I met him again in Annapolis and
asked him to join the Anne Arundel County Minority Business Enterprise
Committee. It was a pleasure working with him...always something new, something different when he was around. He was an honorable, respectful, forward-thinking man. Regardless of our personal preferences or political differences, to me he exemplified what is written in Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times" My sincere condolences to the Family
