Lillian Friedman Obituary

Lillian "Lilli" Witt Friedman, 97, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025.
She was born on December 1, 1927, in Washington, DC, to James and Dora Witt. She dedicated much of her time to charitable causes, especially within the Jewish community, and was proud to serve as president of Hadassah.
Lillian had a zest for life and a love of games — she could often be found playing bridge, mahjong, or canasta with friends. She was admired for her impeccable style, always looking her very best no matter the occasion.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Daniel Witt and Francis Shapiro, and by her beloved husbands, Benjamin Schendell, Melvin Friendman, and Harry Friedman.
Lillian is survived by her children, Rhona Watson and Richard Schendell; her grandchildren, Bailey Schendell and Dori Schendell; and her great-grandchildren, Francy Hayes and Maston Schendell. She was also the cherished matriarch to six nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched profoundly.
Private services will be held for the family. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
