LILLIAN HIGDON WALTER  
On September 24, 2011 of College Park, MD formerly of Washington, DC a former Congressional/legal secretary who retired from the federal government in 1985. Wife of 52 years to the late Edwin Walter. Loving mother of Michael Moran, Diane Logue (Gary) and Kurt Walter (Katie); grandmother of Christine (Joe), James, Sandi (Sean), Ryan, Andrew (Ashley), David and Jay; great-grandmother of Chloe and William; sister of Helen Gilbert, Bette Woodward and the late Doris Sheaffer. Relatives and friends are invited to join in her life celebration at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, MD on Friday, September 30 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 1 for a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for Team: Andrea's Angels, 3715 Northside Pkwy., Building 400, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30327.www.gaschs.com

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Lillian was the best Mother-in-Law a woman could have - a total peach - and a kind and loving grandmother. We will miss her dearly.
