Of Colonial Beach, VA, formerly of Arlington, VA, died Monday, January 5, 2004. Mr. Babylon served with the Seabees in the US Navy during World War II. He had retired as a bus driver for DC transit and then worked as a chauffeur for the Bureau of Budget and he was a member of Walker Chapel United Methodist Church in Arlington. He was the widower of Marjorie H. Babylon. Survivors include one niece, Edyth Vechery of Colonial Beach; two great-nieces, Jennifer N. Washburn and Jacqueline A. Vechery, both of Colonial Beach and a great-nephew, Lt. Col. James C. Vechery of Alabama. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 8 at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA, and where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Friday. Burial in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, Memorials Processing Center, Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
