Louis and I met at Hacienda Heights Elementary in El Paso a long time ago. We continued to be clasmates, friends and eventually graduated from Bel Air in 1969. We shared many life experiences. I was also a member of that "award-winning" singing group. Louis was a great friend, a great man, and a great soldier. I will miss my "cousin"; and I will never forget him.

I first met Louis at Bel-Air high school, and from the first I met him we seemed to click right away. His mild demeanour was very infectious. Some may not know it but Louis was also not a bad singer in his day as we briefly had a quartet which even won a talent contest.I know for a fact that he's gone to pick up that big fat paycheck that we all strive for. Lot's of love my brother and I'll see you when I get there.

To Carol and family, (Ruthie/Lola,et al),
Sorry we never met, but know that the things which I have read in this medium a test to the Louis I knew. Just wanted to use this opportunity to acknowledge the mutual loss of a great American and friend. I recall him from (1963) our days living in the "Heights" in El Paso, Tx. It seems we thought we could really sing in those days. We then matriculated through 4 years of Bel Air High (Class of 69)and 2 yrs at UTEP. WE WILL MEET AGAIN in that land of no more Good-bye(s). Will you Come and join US there?????????
LOVE TO ALL,
"FISH"

We would like to express our heart-felt condolences to the Bryant family.
We had the pleasure of meeting the Bryant family during basketball season. Courtney was on our daughter's team.
Lou was a very devoted and family oriented young man. Whenever you saw him, he always had a very kind and pleasant smile.

Lou and I worked together at SAIC. Talk about a wonderful, kind, happy man. He was always sharing stories with me at the front desk of things he had done with his family over the weekend, or when he would make a trip back to Texas. So dedicated to family, to work and friends. I will always remember his beautiful smile. With deepest sympathy to his family.

Although I knew Lou because of work, my fond memories of Lou will always be that of a family man and strong father figure. I truly enjoyed our conversations about our children, the various activities they were involved in, and how they kept us on the go. Your presence will surely be missed, Lou. My heart goes out to your family.

Louis was one of those rare roll models we strive to emulate. I remember Louis in El Paso when I was a very young child (he used to remind me of those times), I remember him at FT Hood taking command. When I took command 12 years later I couldn't help but think about Lou. The loss is immeasurable to my family, my grandparents (Ruth and Marvin) especially. We will miss him. My prayers go out to Carol and the kids.

Lou was the true meaning of a distinguished gentlemen. It is still hard to believe that he is gone and that he will never just walk into my office again to say "Wassup Carmen". He was a dedicated family man to his wife Carol and children Courtney & Travis. I express my deepest sympathy to his entire family and you are in my everyday thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember him and that smile that could light up a room.

Lou was a wonderful and a delightful person to work for. When he transferred to the Decision Systems Division, I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know what kind of a manager he would be. Once I got to know him better, I was excited to know that he was an excellent person to work with. He had a wonderful way of communicating with fellow employees of all ages and ranks. Everyone at work felt comfortable not only talking to him but asking for professional advice. The young/junior level employees considered him not only a leader, but a mentor who helped guide their professional goals.
He also had a way of making everyone laugh. Every Friday was our division meeting which Lou led. Although important information was discussed, he also created an environment in which we could laugh, tell jokes, or indirectly poke at policies and projects. He gave his team the freedom to feel comfortable enough to express their thoughts and ideas openly.
There are a lot of good people in this world, but there are a few that really stand out. Lou Bryant was one of those few people who outshined the rest.

Lou, you were a great neighbor. Your winsome personality affected the entire neighbor, always on the ready with an honest simile and unpretentious conversation. We admired your devotion to family and the legacy of love of family, confidence, pride and ambition you and Carol provided for Courtney and Travis. You will be missed but rest assured, both your daughter and son will continue to make you proud. Until we meet again, well done good and faithful servant.

My deepest condolences to the Bryant Family. Lou's love and pride was always present when he spoke of you.
Lou was the definition of a good colleague. He approached his work with a smile, was always ready to provide help or to take on the responsibility. He made us happy here at EBR. We will miss him greatly.
Lou's positive and outgoing nature will be recalled by all. Below are sentiments expressed by a part-time colleague, Diego Mantilla, from Ecuador, who comments that while he didn't know Lou for long, he was impressed by his dynamism, his friendliness, and his work spirit. Diego also extends his condolences to Lou's family.

LOUIS WAS A CHILDHOOD FRIEND WHO ALWAYS TOOK ME SERIOUSLY WHEN EVERYONE ELSE DEEMED ME TO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE IS GONE AND I HAVE YET TO COME TO GRIPS WITH THAT AS A REALITY.
LOUIS WAS THE SON MY PARENTS NEVER HAD AND WAS ALWAYS THERE TO MAKE THEM FEEL SPECIAL AND LOVED. MY MOTHER COULD ALWAYS DEPEND ON LOUIS TO SEND HER FLOWERS WHICH WOULD SEND HER HEART A FLUTTER.
WE WERE ALL SO PROUD OF HIM AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM AS THE GENTLEMAN HE WAS.
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY.

I first met Lou when he came to replace me as the Army ROTC Battalion Commander and PMS at Georgetown University. After Lou retired, we had the opportunity to collaborate on several Joint Command and Control projects. I liked and respected him immensely for his humor, intellect and willingess to give selflessly to any project. I/we all have been blessed by knowing Lou. We offer our deepest sympathy and pray for his family during this most difficult period.

Our sincerest sympathies to Lou's family- your loss is felt by all of us at EBR. I enjoyed the morning times in our company fitness center when Lou would challenge me to a more intense workout- who could keep up with him? He always had a smile and a word of encouragement for every effort no matter how small- "just keep trying," he would say. We miss his smile and his laughter in our halls, just as you miss him at home.
