Louis Walters Obituary

WALTERS LOUIS C. WALTERS Of Springfield, passed away on March 13, 2008. Louis is survived by his children Katherine Nicolet, Robert Walters, Sherry (Jack) Dermer, and Tracy (Nelson) Allen, and grandchildren Kimberley, Christopher, Darryl, Denise, Scott, Bernadette, Zachary, Travis, and Rachel. Louis was a caring father and fun-loving man who served his country as a radioman in the US Navy, and worked for 36 years as a bus driver and tour guide for AB&W and the Metro Authority, retiring in 1982. He was a member of American Legion Post 176, and the Isaac Walton League, and in his free time loved gardening and being a hunter, fisherman, and sportsman all around. Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. A service to honor Louis‘ life will begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at the National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Louis‘ memory to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park St. SE, PO Box 699, Vienna, VA 22180.
