Louise Blakemore Obituary

BLAKEMORE, LOUISE (Hoppe) (Age 91)

Of Burke, VA, formerly of Oak Park, IL died on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at her home.

She was born on February 17, 1913 in Cairo, a daughter of Ernest and Amelia (Barsuhn) Hoppe. She was married on June 23, 1935 to Rev. John Blakemore. He passed away on June 20, 1993.

Mrs. Blakemore was a homemaker. She was a member of the Harrison St. Bible Church, where her husband and later her son, Dr. Peter Blakemore, pastored. She was the organist and pianist at the Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (David) Tye of Burke, VA; son, Paul (Dorothy) Blakemore of Shiewsbury, PA; daughter-in-law, Marla Blakemore of Oak Park, IL; 13 grand- children, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Peter; seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20 from 12 Noon until hour of service at 1 p.m. at CRAIN FUNERAL HOME in Tamms. Rev. Verlee Eaker, officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Harrison St. Bible Church, 911 S. Taylor Ave., Oak Park, IL 60304.
