Dear Jane,
I am sorry I do not have your mailing address and hope you get a chance to read this message. Marc and I were colleagues in Congress and I was always impressed at his integrity and diligence in standing up for what he believed, even though he was often under pressure to do the most political or expedient thing. He was the key vote that saved the Clean Air Act in our committee, for which I and millions of others should always be grateful. He was a good friend to me, and I was sorry to learn of his passing. I want you and your family to know that I am thinking of you at this sad time. I am confident that your wonderful memories of him will always be of great solace and joy.

Sincerely, Henry and janet Waxman

Very sorry to hear of Marc's passing. I knew him in Congress and once played tennis with his daughter. He led a terrific life into his 90's. Thinking of him brings back fond memories of interesting discussions. My sincere sympathy for the family.
