Marlene was my cousin. She was smart, capable and full of fun. She was the only person other than my Aunt Fannie(the Solomon Girl's Nana) to call me by a favorite nickname and I know she did it because she knew it made me feel special and loved. She also took me in many times for Rosh Hashanah when I was a young professional. She was also able to fill in gaps for me about my own family of origin which no one else was around to do. I loved her and will miss her.

Marlene was an extraordinarily capable person. She taught by telling stories so you'd understand and remember. She was centered, knew who she was, and her core was a heart of gold. She brought out the best in me by assuming I was as adult, responsible for myself, and confident as she. I hear the delight in her voice when she laughed, and I miss it so much.
Love,
Craig

Aunt Marlene:
My most vivid memories of Aunt Marlene was when Uncle Morty would bring her to the house. Back then my friends and I would spend a great amount of time writing postcards to various movie stars and collecting their autographs. Kind of like collecting baseball cards. When I met Aunt Marlene, it felt like meeting a movie star in person. She reminded me of a combination of Natalie Wood and Marilyn Monroe together. I was smitten.
With condolences and love to my cousins,
Barbi Krass
