I was one of Mary Lou's SRAO girls in Europe, recruited by my sister, Jeanne, who served in Korea and Europe. Mary Lou always kept us to high standards and made sure our military hosts took care of us, and I imagine she may have a word with St. Peter to make sure we're ushered in properly when we arrive! She was a great mentor to me as a Center Director, and we all loved and respected her immensely She made SRAO the great program it was. Hilary Whittaker Rabat, Morocco, and Nancy, France, 1959-61

I am the niece of Bud Dowling and Anna Kennedy Dowling. I remember Mary Louise as a warm and kind person. When I was 13, Uncle Bud and Aunt Anna took me on vacation with them to see the nations capitol, and we stayed with Mary Louise in Falls Church. She was a lovely person. My sympathy to the family.

I served as one of Mary Louise Dowling's SRAO girls in Korea and was able to talk with her as a fellow member of the American Red Cross Overseas Association. She cared for all the girls she sent overseas and had many stories. She shall be missed.

I am a second cousin of Mary Louise. We visited her often while I lived in Falls Church, VA and when she lived in Florida. I will remember that fantastic lady always. Mary Jo
