Marylou Pectol

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated professional, she passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025. Louie graduated with a bachelor & master degree from George Washington University. It was during her time at GWU that she met Richard "Dick" Pectol, a struggling bridge player who would become her lifelong partner. They married in December 1968 and shared over 56 years of love, laughter, and companionship. Their daughter, Rachel, whose marriage to Paul Denchfield brought them three cherished grandchildren: Russell, Patrick, and Paisley.
A dedicated professional, Louie began her career in 1965 with the U.S. Geological Survey and she retired from there in 2010. Louie's talent for financial work extended to her many volunteer efforts.
Louie enjoyed sailing with family and friends on their sailboat in the waters of Maryland.
Private services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woman's Club or Friends of the Library in St. Mary's County. Louie's legacy of love, laughter, and service will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
