ECKERT, MATTHEW (MATT)

On Friday, January 11, 2002, of Springfield, VA. MATTHEW (MATT) ECKERT, beloved son of Jeffrey and Georgia Eckert, Springfield, VA; devoted brother of Nicole and Jillian Eckert; grandson of Edward and Ruth Snyder, Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at JEFFERSON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5755 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA, (Just South of the intersection of South Van Dorn St. and Franconia Rd.) on Wednesday, January 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at The Catholic Church of the Nativity, 6400 Nativity Lane, Burke, VA 22015. On Thursday at 12 noon. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to be established in Matthew's name at Mount Vernon High School, Alexandria, VA.

Dear Eckert Family,



Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Carly from Jillians soccer team was very concerned about the news. I lost my younger brother in a similar incident in Springfield 5 years ago behind the Cardinal Forest complex). He is also at Fairfax Memorial Park.



I will pray for you r family every day as I do my own!
