Melvin Friedman Obituary
On Tuesday, August 17,2004, MELVIN FRIEDMAN of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of Sylvia M. Friedman; devoted father of N. Richard (Joan) Friedman, Helene F. (Dr. Richard) Meltzer and Debra F. (Dr. Edward) Bieber; loving grandfather of Andrew, Kimberly, Jason, Justin, David and Michelle. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., NW, Washington, DC. Interment Garden of Remembrance Cemetery, Clarksburg, MD. The family will be in mourning at Edward and Debra Bieber's residence through Sunday, August 22. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by DANZANSKY-GOLDBERG MEMORIAL CHAPELS, INC., 301-340-1400.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mel. I first met Mel and Sylvia in the fall of 1982 and they have been wonderful friends to me over these years. We spoke on the phone just last week and we all saw one another just a couple of weeks ago. I shall miss the gentle soul, the warm handshake and meticulous writing - the caring man that Mel was. God Bless you Mel and God Bless you Sylvia.
