MICHAEL A. JOHNSON, SR.
Suddenly on Friday, December 3, 2010 in Essex County, VA. Beloved husband of Janet Lawrence-Johnson; devoted father of Keyondra, Niya and Michael, Jr. Also survived by his mother LaVera Day; one brother Ernest Johnson; one sister LaSharon Johnson; mother-in-law Claudia Lawrence; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation on Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. until hour of homegoing service at 12 noon at the New Samaritan Baptist Church, 1100 Florida Ave., NE. Bishop Michael V. Kelsey, Pastor. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Services by DUNN & SONS- Terry Austin, Director.

I'm still in a total shock. I can't believe that yu left us. Its hurts so bad not hearing your voice, or seeing you. i cant question why you was taken away from us, but i wish you was here. It suppose to get easier as the days go on, but to me gets getting harder. My mother walks around like her whole world has ended and Mj asks every chance he gets "where is my daddy?". As I said I will be my mother backbone and strength. I miss you more than I can explain. I know I never expressed how much I loved you, but I do alot. You have showed me how to cook, and helped me moved to and from school. I just wish you was here, but I know u looking down on us. I love you and hope you are resting peacefully.

We have been friends for 20 years and i thank my brother Milton for introducing us. U've been my buddy forever and a day and i thank u for always smiling and having a kind word to say. I know this is difficult for ur loved ones. Just know we r here on borrowed time so love one another and say i love u to those u meet along ur journey of life.

Mrs. Johnson and the Johnson Family: Please accept this as an expression of our condolences during your time of sorrow. Mike was truly a good guy, friend, and Godsend. In addition to welcoming me into his beloved Fraternity and Chapter (the Mighty OG), Mike introduced me to my helpmate and wife. For those two things I am eternally grateful to him. When I was new to the DC area Big Mike befriended me and later recommended me for membership in our beloved Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. From day one, Mike has always been a geunine true freind. Mike was so much to so many people. We will all miss brother, friend, son, husband, and father.
Please believe that God makes no mistakes., Big Mike is in a better place, and although he is no longer with us by way of body, he will live inside each of us via mind and soul.

To Janet, Keyondra, Niya and Michael Jr. I am Jerome an employee of Mid Pen and only knew Mike for a little while and he was a good person.
