Dr. Michael J. Manyak M.D.

Dr. Michael J. Manyak, M.D., 73, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 7, 2024.

Mike was a loving husband, devoted father, and highly respected urologist. His life was marked by an insatiable curiosity, which led him to explore the world, write with passion, and excel as a corporate medical executive. He was a proud graduate and a loud, loyal sports fan of the University of Notre Dame. Mike's unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and adventure—combined with his sharp wit and keen sense of humor—made him a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. He was often described as a "remarkable force," leaving an indelible mark on the world. As a close friend of Mike's put it: whether loved or hated, Mike will be remembered. One can't ask for more.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca, and brothers-in-law Jeff Bruning and Tim Dennis. Mike is survived by his three adult children, Rachel, Susanna (Ian), and Tim; his brother, Jim (Cindy); sister, Pat (Bob) Kraft; brothers-in-law, Wally (Joanne) Bruning and Will (Judy) Bruning; sisters-in-law, Sue (Kevin) Mossholder, Kitty Bruning (wife of Jeff), and Madge Dennis (wife of Tim); 11 nieces, eight nephews, nine grandnieces, and 11 grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Congressional Country Club, 8500 River Rd., Bethesda, MD 20817.
