MICHAEL KENNETH MARION
Our hearts are broken. With great sadness, we mourn the loss of our beloved Michael, who passed away on December 1, 2020 at age 42 after a heroic struggle. Born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Michael was a graduate of the University of Michigan (BA), the George Washington School of Law (JD with Honors) and the NYU School of Law (LL.M) and was a partner and office practice leader in the Tax Transactions group at Mayer Brown LLP. Beloved by his many friends, colleagues, and extended family, he had a smile that lit up every room he entered. Loving husband of Bobbie Thomas, adoring father of Miles, dear son of Vivien and Lester Marion, devoted brother of Sara (Udi) Kish and uncle to Benjamin, Ari and Sam, his memory will live on in our hearts. Private burial Sunday, December 6. Contributions in Michael's memory may be made to The Mount Sinai Hospital (New York) Department of Clinical Immunology -Dr. Cunningham-Rundles. Arrangements by the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Inc. under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

Bobbie Thomas, I read your heart breaking Story of the loss of your husband, And I have to reach out to you, I can see your broken heart. As I also loss my husband Dale Bendickson on December 27, 2012 at the age of 51 and I was only 48 years old myself, Dale death was also unexpected..I can feel your pain and understand how your life will never be the same , I understand your feelings completely.. I just want to send my condolences to you and your son. And try & never feel alone as there are many of us that find night time our worst time, of feeling all alone.. I will pray for you everyday and just knowing that in good time you will hopefully understand that God has a greater plan for you and your son. God Bless

What could anyone say at this most difficult time, yet Bobbie I only know you from the Today show along Kathie Lee through you, your husband a wedding at her home, you both have a wonderful son Miles together. I just wanted to reach out to tell you that I hear on Hoda & Jenna about your husband Michael Marion passing. Starting back in the summer of '87 or '88 we knew him as Mikko at sleep-away camp. Unquestionably the leader of the bunk, he had a swagger that could not be denied. Michael was every bit as charming when our paths crossed again years later during our studies.
I am saddened to hear of this tragic loss, and will remember Michael fondly as the kid we all looked up to. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing.

The Israeli section of the Kish family, first met Michael,through son
Udi marrying Michael's sister Sara.
Through the many years passed, we followed Michael's studies and career with great admiration.All signs were pointing to a great career.
His marriage to Bobby and son Miles's birth only added to his development positive path.His illness and suffering caused us great concern and a feeling of helplessnes, not knowing how to assist.
What a waste of such alovely promising young man at the beginning of life when some rewards already knocking at the door.
May his family find comfort by all the love flowing from Autralia, through Israel, to Bethesda.

I never had the honor of knowing Michael, but I feel like I did from the many years of knowing his wonderful father, Dr. Lester Marion. For 40 years, Lester Marion selflessly took care of my family through many tragic losses as well. And this is indeed, a tragic loss. I’m so very sorry,
Our hearts go out to you and your beautiful family. Michael is a mirror image of his wonderful father and I am certain his heart was as pure. We send you our love and comfort and offer to help in anyway we can. . We would do anything to to be there for you and your family the way that you have always been for ours.

Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. We loved Michael, may his memory be a blessing, and were so honored to have been in his life. We will miss his humor, his passion, and his friendship, and we hope that we can find some way to comfort his (and our) beloved Bobbie and Miles in the coming weeks, months and years.
Thank you Lester and Vivien for having given us all such a special human; we cannot fathom your grief.
