Minnie Byard Obituary

BYARD, MINNIE M. BUSH

Crossed over on Friday, April 14, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Walter E. Byard; sister of Maurice Bush (Mary) and Jean Bush Davis (Henry Hester). She was preceded in death by brothers, Francis and Elbert Rip Bush, Jr.; and nephew, Kevin Bush. She also leaves to mourn her nieces, Terri Davis, Aletha Robinson and Susan Stevenson; great-niece, Ayanna Robinson; nephew, Elbert Bush, III; great-nephews, Anthony Davis and Francis Stevenson; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at JOHN T. RHINES FUNERAL HOME, 3015 12th St., N.E. on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. until funeral services commences at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, May 5, 2006 at 3 p.m.

Minnie was my first friend when I came to work at NSA. She took me under her wing at training school on U St. taught me how to wear listick and to keep myself neat looking, she created my lady like ways. I never forgot that. Thanks Minnie. My love and prayers to Maurice and Jean.
