Carol and family,
I had the privilege of working with or for Neil for many years while at the CIA. He exerted a strong influence on me and my colleagues. His legacy at the agency will carry on thru the example he set for all of us. He was one of the hardest working and most sincere managers I ever knew, and was always generous with his time and insights. We will all miss him greatly.
Sincerely,
Terry Coyne

Carol, Brian & Kevin, Michael and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to your whole family at this very difficult time. We have been friends since 1973 and I feel like I've also lost a member of my family. Just know that Mike and I love you and your family. And you, Kevin and Brian will be in our thoughts and prayers always. Neil will remain in all of our hearts as a wonderful person, husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many.

Carol, Brian, and Kevin,
We both had the privilege to work with Neil--in fact, we fell in love while working with him during the Gulf War. He was an institution at work--energetic, immensely caring, and truly a national asset in applying his energy expertise in the service of our country. But there was nothing more important to him than family! We will miss him terribly...and while we pray for him, we are also keeping you in our thoughts & prayers.
Warmly,
--Leigh Ann & Mark Finley

Carol and family,
I had the privilege of working with Neil when I was with the Dept of Energy. He was a gracious, fine public servant and a real "mensch." My deepest sympathies on your loss.

To Carol and all of Neil's family -
I was truly saddened to hear this news. I worked with Neil for five years in the 1980s and valued his thoughts. May God bless you all.
