NENA ADAMS Obituary
NENA BOWMAN ADAMS (Age 65)
Resident of Bradford, VT and formerly of The Plains, VA, passed away on July 18, 2012 after a courageous struggle with cancer. She is survived by her two daughters, Brooke Adams Holland (Michael) and Nena Adams Meurlin (Tyler), both of Richmond, VA, her sister, Katherine Bowman Burton, of Bethesda, MD, and four grandchildren. She also is survived by her former husband, John B. Adams, Jr., of The Plains, VA. She graduated from Potomac School, McLean, VA and Chatham Hall School in Chatham, VA and she attended Garland Junior College in Boston, MA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 29, at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 6507 Main Street, The Plains, VA. Interment at Little Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 (https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate), or Grace Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 32, The Plains, VA 20198.
