NORA BURROWS

Nora Burrows (nee Salvail), December 15, 2023, of Fayetteville, PA. Beloved wife of the late Edmund Burrows; daughter of the late Jack and Mary Salvail; sister of Patrick Salvail; preceded in death by her siblings Mary Ann Keough, John Salvail, Rita Marie Cooper, Michael Salvail, Thomas Salvail, and William Salvail. Private services will be held at a later announced date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I loved sharing laughs with Nora! Not sure I remember this story correctly, but as I recall, many years ago I was at her home and she showed me her *mink* that Ed got her--It was a real stuffed mink that I believe he found on the side of the road, took to a taxidermist, then presented to Nora. We had a great laugh together as she 'petted' her mink! Another memory was one winter we went to an off-site IBM meeting and Nora drove her van. The weather turned icy & in trying to take alternate roads, we ended up sliding sideways down a huge hill next to Sibley hospital. After the harrowing slide, we composed ourselves and again laughed that we made it...and if we hadn't & wrecked the van, we were at the best possible location next to Sibley! Nora was a lot of fun, helped me learn a lot about Federal contracts & after I retired, I'm sorry we lost touch. RIP Nora.
