I WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THAT MY FATHER IS WATCHING OVER ALL OF US THAT HAS LOVED HIM AND THAT HE HAS LOVED, SO I'M SENDING HIM THIS VALENTINES DAY ENTRY BECAUSE I KNOW HE'S AWARE OF WHAT TODAY IS AND WAS NEVER LATE IN SENDING OUT HIS CARDS LETTING EVERYONE KNOW HOW MUCH HE APPRICIATED AND LOVED THEM ALL. DAD, EACH AND EVERYDAY NO MATTER WHAT I'M DOING I CANNOT GO THROUGH THE DAY WITHOUT HAVING A POSITIVE THOUGHT OF YOU. THE MOST I MISS ABOUT YOU IS THE FACT THAT IF I NEED AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION I KNEW I COULD ALWAYS DEPEND ON YOU TO GIVE ME THE BEST POSSIBLE SCENERIO. I ALWAYS APPRICIATED AND GAVE YOU ALL THE CREDIT FOR THAT, WHEN SOMEONE ASKED ME "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" I WOULD SAY TO MYSELF BECAUSE THE SMARTEST MAN I KNOW TOLD ME SO, TO THEM I WOULD SAY, "I ASKED MY POPS." THAT'S WHAT I MISS, YOUR INTELLECT, YOUR WIT, YOUR VOICE OF REASON. I'LL TRY TO CONTINUE WITH THOSE ATTRIBUTES AND PASS THEM ON TO YOUR GRANDSON XAVIER AND SHARE THEM WITH THE REST OF SOCIETY. YOU HAVE BEEN AND WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY LOVED BY US ALL. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FROM ALL THOSE THAT YOU LOVE AND THOSE THAT LOVE YOU YOUR SON RODNEY.

To the Messam Family,
We send our deepest condolences and our most sincere prayers on the passing of Patrick. We've had the pleasure of knowing Patrick for well over twenty years and he will be especially missed for his keen sense of humor and his quick wit. Patrick left us much too quickly. May God Bless your family and carry you through this very difficult time.

Rodney,
It is difficult to lose someone very dear to us, especially when it's a parent, but I would like to commend you on the way you stood by your dad and nourished him during this challenging time. Even though your dad departed us too soon, Rodney I can assure you he is looking over you without a worry because he knows he has done a wonderful job in teaching you to become the great man you are today! Stay strong and focus and I KNOW YOU WILL PASS ON ALL HIS GREAT ATTRIBUTES to our son Xavier. Patrick is very dear to my heart and his grandson will know his grandfather was a kind and giving man.
With Love Always, Tee.

Heather & Family,
I am so saddened by Patrick's passing, particularly at such a young age. But please know that he certainly left his mark here on earth, touching more people than you can ever imagine. I first met Patrick years and years ago now, when as then young attorneys we were so active in the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association. Patrick had tons of ides and never-ending energy. We also worked on campaigns together and he then succeeded me as Chair of the Cable Television Commission. Again, he had an energy that was hard to keep up with! And oh, how he loved his music!!! I think that gave him a special "peace" that the rest of us would love to have! And most of all, Patrick loved his familY -- and he lives on through all of you. He was a fine man, a great attorney, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. What a tremendous legacy this special man leaves...
Sincerely,
Cynthia Styles
