Paul-Albert Emoungu Obituary

EMOUNGU, DR. PAUL-ALBERT NGOLO

On Thursday, April 29, 2004, of Olney, MD, and formerly of Wembo Nyama, Democratic Republic of Congo. Dr. Emoungu was a college professor at Howard University for 25 years, where he served as Chairperson for the Social Foundation of Education. He worked for several international and development organizations, was Founder of the American Universities Development Foundation and worked as a Consultant and Project Manager for the USAID in Kenya and the US Embassy in Swaziland. He leaves to cherish fond memories his devoted wife of 36 years, Dr. Winnie D. Emoungu; two loving daughters, Charlotte Lindiwe Emoungu and Tina Walu Emoungu; his mother, Marie Walu; a sister, Sabine Talunge, and a nephew, Dimandja Emoungu. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 5 from 9 a.m. until services, 11 a.m., at Peoples Community Baptist Church, 31 Norwood Rd., Silver Spring, MD. Interment will follow at Norbeck Memorial Park, Olney, MD. Arrangements by HINES-RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, INC.

Professor Emongu taught Social Foundations of Urban Education, a course which i took in the mid-1970s as an
undergraduate at Howard University.
Dr. Emongu was a good Lecturer and kind, helpful
person. I'm just finding out
about his passing.
