Paul S. Berger

Paul S. Berger, born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania in 1932 passed away surrounded by his family on January 4 at the age of 90. He married his soulmate, Debra Joyce z"l in 1958. He led a full life dedicated to his extended family, building, supporting and sustaining the Jewish community around the world and always Israel, fulfilling his Father's request to "keep the Shul open". Paul's life included extraordinary contributions to many. He did it all with passion, compassion and humbly. Graduating from Scranton University in 1954 and NYU law school in 1957, Paul came to Washington DC and at a young age became part of the establishment of the tax department of Arnold, Fortes & Porter, and dedicated his career to his firm, clients and causes. Paul provided legal advice and guidance to the State of Israel and to numerous organizations. Paul was admired and loved, most of all by his family.

He is survived by Meryl Berger Rosenberg (Sam), Dr. Jessica Berger Weiss (Jeffrey), and Louis Berger (Mindy); grandchildren Zachary (Carrie), Rebecca (Chad), Arielle , Joshua, Talia, Benjamin, Jacob, Nathan, and Lila and great-grandchildren Darren, Lainey, Annie.
