PAUL DRUMMER Obituary

PAUL DRUMMER
Paul Drummer took on life the way he took on breakfast-with a passion for nourishment. Eggs and the Post began his day, and a love of the language of persuasion fueled a career running an employment agency in Arlington VA, and working in a variety of senior sales positions. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he lived in Bethesda and Chevy Chase for 44 years, dying from cancer April 1, 2018 at age 95. Spiritual nourishment was important, too. He studied Christian Science in his early years, became an est graduate seminar leader, explored Unitarian Universalism, and taught meditation and studied poetry at his senior home in Chevy Chase. In World War II, he served in the Army in Europe and the Pacific.  Paul was preceded in death by his wife Constance Herbert Drummer. He is survived by Dorothy Drummer (Greg Eden), Austin, TX; Kathryn Drummer of Brooklyn, NY; and Alan Drummer (Charlene) of Burlingame, CA. He is also survived by stepdaughter Mary Chancellor of New York City, and three grandchildren, Anna Sarfaty (Jory Harris) of New Haven and Dylan Drummer and Dasha Drummer of Burlingame.  A military service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery later this year.
