LIEBERMAN

PAUL ISAAC LIEBERMAN

Paul Isaac Lieberman passed away peacefully at home in Fairfax, Virginia on April 5, 2023 after suffering from mesothelioma for several months. Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years Sonia "Sonni"

Lieberman; his two children Jessica

Hatherall and Marc Lieberman; brother Richard Lieberman; son-in-law Richard Hatherall and daughter-in-law Freida

Orange; grandchildren Felix, Ivy, Josephine, Elliott and Owen; sisters-in-law Helene Weisz and Beverly Sbarge; and niece and nephews Raphael, Angela, Jeff and Josh. Paul was born in 1944 in New York, New York. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1960 and went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in science in 1964 from Cornell University, a master's degree of arts in 1967, UC Berkeley, and a law degree in 1977 from Northeastern Law. Subsequently, he worked as an

attorney at the General Accounting Office for 26 years and then was Special Counsel attorney to Steptoe and Johnson. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved playing tennis, skiing, the beach and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a brilliant mind and an enormous heart. Paul will be immensely missed by those he loved. At Paul's request, no memorial service or funeral is planned.

Dear Sonni and family,

I am so sorry to learn of Paul´s recent passing. Bill and I enjoyed our times with you and Paul in the long ago past and, of course, Bill appreciated having you in the Fairfax office, Sonni.
